NOB- Hyderabad news: The desire of Hyderabad Central University students for the future of Hyderabad city and university is great, said BRS Working President Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao. KTR was furious that the government was committing evil oppression against students who are working for the protection of Hyderabad Central University lands. KTR met the students of the university at Telangana Bhavan. He assured them that he would support their struggle. Speaking on this occasion, he said, after the first phase of the Telangana movement, Hyderabad Central University was established. Hyderabad Central University has achieved many names and fame over time. The students who studied there are doing great service in the country and abroad. Hyderabad Central University is one of the leading educational institutions of the country. This is a great struggle that the students of Hyderabad Central University are doing for the benefit of society without any selfishness. The desire for the future of the university for the future of Hyderabad city is very great. We sometimes feel sad that the fighting spirit of the new generation of students has decreased. But, in such a right context, we salute the courage shown by the university students and their struggle. We are asking the Congress government here directly on behalf of the students and the party. Is the state government doing politics over university students and university lands? Is it trying to occupy the land so quickly by killing the trees and animals there by using hundreds of bulldozers and Hitachi machines? Why is it eager to occupy the land so quickly? They demanded. The city has grown extensively in the Gachibowli Nanakramguda Financial District area. It has become a concrete jungle. No city in India has developed so much in such a small area. Crores of square feet of residential houses are being constructed. Some of the green areas that give breath to West Hyderabad are Hyderabad Central University and its surrounding areas. In the future, it will be difficult to breathe in West Hyderabad like Delhi, he expressed concern. If the greenery around Central University is kept as it is, there will be some assurance for the future. Students are asking how these 400 acres will be sold without doing an environmental impact assessment. They are asking that the impact of environmental damage should be studied before selling these 400 acres. In 2003, these 400 acres were allocated to a company called IMG Bharat for sports facilities. Previous governments had given lands to that company only to set up stadiums and sports training infrastructure. But this government is trying to turn the same 400 acres into a concrete jungle by constructing crores of square feet of structures. The case came to light after 21 years. But, the government is trying to immediately sell those lands and collect Rs. 30 thousand crores. People decide the agenda of selling Revanth Reddy’s assets and taking loans. They are campaigning by saying that Future City will be built on 50 thousand acres. They are saying that they will collect another 30 thousand acres along with the Pharma City lands and build a new city. KTR questioned why they are trying to sell 45 thousand acres when thousands of acres of land are already available. At this time when 45 thousand acres are available to the government, why are they acting so cruelly on 400 acres. The government should answer, he demanded. They flagged that the Revanth Reddy government is being disorganized by dragging the students and girls who came in the way and tearing their clothes.
