NOB-Warangal news: District Collector Dr. Satya Sharada inspected the PACS grain purchase center at the Narsampet Agricultural Market Yard on 04.05.2025.In the wake of reports that the grain was soaked due to recent unseasonal rains, the Collector inspected the precautions being taken by the authorities and farmers in the market.Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said, “Farmers are advised to take appropriate precautions by covering their grain with tarpaulin to protect it from the effects of untimely rains.The District Collector suggested that the grain soaked due to rain should be dried, cleaned with a paddy cleaner and brought to the purchase centers.On this occasion, the Collector examined the management of the purchase centers, staff performance, grain quality, farmer’s needs, money payments and other issues.The Collector ordered the officials to move the grain to the mills quickly. He suggested that paddy cleaners, gunny bags and drinking water should be made available at the centers. He wanted the farmers to have a completely transparent grain procurement without facing any difficulties. He wanted adequate vehicles for grain transportation and necessary porters to ensure that grain exports and imports take place immediately. He said that arrangements have been made so that the money is deposited in the farmer’s accounts within two days of purchasing the grain.In this program, District Cooperation Officer Neeraja, District Civil Supplies Officer Kishtaiah, District Manager Sandhya Rani, RDO Umarani, District Marketing Officer Surekha, Market Committee Chairman Palvai Srinivas, Secretary G. Reddy, Tahsildar Rajesh, and others participated.
