NOB- Suryapet news: Suryapet District SP Narasimha IPS said that the police are vigilant at projects and bridges during the rainy season. On 08.08.2025, the flow of the Musi river was inspected in Suryapet Rural. The bridge was inspected at Bhimavaram village. The police personnel were instructed to be vigilant and took measures to prevent accidents and to install danger warning sign boards. People were asked to follow the instructions of the authorities. He said that no one should go into the flowing water. He asked people not to go fishing, and said that the youth should avoid accidents. He said that the people are being alerted from time to time by closing the catchment areas of Suryapet Rural, Penapahad, Nereducherla and Palakaveedu. He said that due to the lifting of the gates of the Nagarjuna Sagar project, the water level in the Krishna River is high, so do not go to the Natupaduvala or enter the river. He asked people to make use of police services in times of emergency by dialling 100 and calling the District Special Branch 8712686026. The SP who visited the closure was accompanied by Suryapet Division DSP Prasanna Kumar and local officials.
