District SP Rahul Hegde IPS gave instructions to the police personnel on MLC election

NOB- Suryapet news: District SP Rahul Hegde IPS said that a strong police presence has been arranged for the conduct of MLC elections for graduates to be held on 27.05.2024. At the reception center set up at the election materials distribution center and the collectorate, the police personnel were instructed and advised on the procedures to be followed in the planning and performance of duties. He said that the primary duty is to move the election materials and provide protection to them, all the conditions on the way should be checked and if there are any difficulties, the officials and the striking force officials should be informed. He said that under no circumstances should the polling booth and the mobile route vehicle be left behind. He said that the voters should be kept in the queue line and the police advised them not to enter the booth without the permission of the polling booth officer. Do not allow others into the polling booth. He said that everyone should talk to the voters politely. The SP was accompanied by Additional SP Nageswara Rao, DSP Ravi Special Branch Inspector Veera Raghavulu, Election Cell Inspector Pandari and CI Rajasekhar.

District SP Rahul Hegde IPS said that the MLC election polling will be held in 71 polling centers in the district and 500 police personnel are performing their duties in connection with the polling. Crews are on alert in 16 routes. He said that 28 striking force teams and 8 special striking force teams have been formed. He said there will be monitoring with CC cameras. The SP requested that citizens and voters should follow the rules and regulations. Voters ID card should be brought along by the voter, stand in the queue line and vote. Everyone should cooperate with the election staff. He said that no one should start fights, do not advertise, cell phones and electronic devices are not allowed in the polling booth. Section 144 is in force, do not gather in groups of more than 5 people, 100 meter radius restrictions at the polling booth. He said that everyone should vote responsibly.
