NOB-Nizamabad news: Nizamabad Special Women’s Court Special Sessions Judge D. Durga Prasad pronounced a verdict on 12.12.2025, sentencing the accused, Sainath, to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment in a case of raping a woman. According to details provided by Additional Public Prosecutor Bantu Vasanth, Sainath, a resident near Bhumareddy Convention in Nizamabad city, was married and living with his wife. He developed a lustful desire for his sister-in-law. He decided to sexually assault her and, on November 29th 2019, took her on his bike to the place where she worked. He then took her to his house near Bhumareddy Convention and forcibly raped her. As the charges of rape were proven, Judge Durga Prasad sentenced Sainath to ten years of rigorous imprisonment for the crime of rape. In addition to the jail sentence, a fine of ten thousand rupees was imposed. The verdict also stated that if the fine is not paid, he would have to serve an additional six months in jail.
