New MPs were sworn in on the second day of this session which will last till July 3rd 2024. 262 MPs took oath on the first day of the meeting. The suspense continues over who will be the 18th Lok Sabha Speaker. As always, despite the NDA government’s efforts to make the post of Speaker unanimous, it could not reach a consensus with the opposition.
