NOB- Andhra Pradesh news: A gang is selling cheap alcohol by mixing water in expensive alcohol bottles and some are mixing 100 percent spirit in some alcohol bottles. Taking advantage of the needs of drug addicts, some gangs are playing with the health of the people by selling fake alcohol. They are collecting empty bottles of expensive brands and pouring their own low quality alcohol into them, tightening original style lids and pasting fake labels. The raw material for making alcohol is extra neutral alcohol (in spirit), adding water and color to the bottles and making alcohol. According to the regulations, they contain only 42 percent alcohol, but in spirit it is 100 percent. Doctors are warning that this is causing health problems. Recently, the police raided an illegal liquor manufacturing facility in Palakollu Shambhunipet, West Godavari district and seized spirit, glycerin, caramel, sealing machine, empty bottles worth about Rs. 10 lakhs.
