
NOB- Rangareddy district news: An honor killing has created a stir in Ibrahimpatnam, a suburb of Hyderabad in Rangareddy district. It is learnt that a female constable who had married for love was brutally murdered by her younger brother. She was hit by a car while she was on her way to duty on a scooty and then hacked to death with a machete. She was brutally murdered on the Manneguda road. According to the details given by the locals and the police, Nagamani, a resident of Rayapol village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal, was selected as a constable in 2020. She is currently working at Hayath Nagar police station. However, Nagamani fell in love with a young man named Srikanth from the same village. Due to the caste differences, the family did not agree to their marriage. Due to this, Nagamani married the man she had loved a month ago, confronting her parents and family members. Due to this, Nagamani’s younger brother and other family members became angry with her. After the marriage, Nagamani settled down with her husband in Hayath Nagar. However, since 01.12.2024 was a holiday (Sunday), she returned to her hometown, Rayapol. Later, on 02.12.2024 morning, she left for duty on a scooty. When she reached the Manneguda road, a car coming from behind hit Nagamani. In this process, Nagamani fell off the top of the scooty. The young man who got out of the car brutally killed her with a machete. Nagamani died on the spot, lying in a pool of blood. The accused then fled from the spot. The police suspect that Nagamani was murdered in the context of a love marriage. Ibrahimpatnam CI Satyanarayana revealed that they are mainly suspecting her younger brother Paramesh. They said that a murder case has been registered and a search is on for him. The body has been shifted to the government hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, on learning about Nagamani’s murder, her husband Srikanth reached there and lamented. The incident brought tears to the eyes of those present.
