NOB-Siddipet news: Student power is national power and the role of youth in national development is very crucial, said State Governor Jishnu Dev Verma. He said that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad works for national development, not for individual development. He reminded that many great leaders have emerged from ABVP. Governor Jishnu Dev Verma participated as the chief guest in the inauguration program of the 43rd State Congress of ABVP being held in Siddipet district center and lit the lamp and inaugurated the congress. As part of the program, the national anthem was sung along with the students. The Governor spoke on the occasion. He said that those who worked in ABVP can only have national feelings that have risen to such a height. He suggested that students and youth should be at the forefront of the reconstruction of the country. He said that there is a great need for students to come up with new ideas for the progress of the country. He said that every student should strive in the service of Mother India and move towards Vivekananda’s goal of making the country a universal teacher. Everyone should have a sense of nationalism. He advised the students not to settle for just dreaming but to work towards achieving it. Earlier, All India Sanghatana Secretary Ashish Chauhan addressed the students. He said that the ABVP’s path is different from all others. He said that ABVP also fights social issues. He reminded that it was ABVP that was the first to suggest considering Hindi as the national language. He said that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad can effectively fight Naxalism. He wanted all students to have physical strength. He said that everyone needs to get quality education. ABVP State President Jana Reddy said, ABVP has faced many ups and downs in its 75 years of existence. He said that ABVP is the largest student organization with 55 lakh members. He said that ABVP will be expanded further in the coming days. ABVP Secretary Rambabu said, ABVP will be there wherever there is a problem for students. He said that it will fight until the problem is solved. He said that ABVP has the credit of bringing down the NTR government by bending its neck. He said that if the Congress government does not fulfill the promises made to the student community, it will be taught a befitting lesson. Medak MP Raghunandan Rao, Samajik Samarasatha Vedika Convener Appala Prasad G and many ABVP national and state level leaders were present at the event.
