NOB- Kurnool news: The girl, who is studying intermediate in Adoni division of Kurnool district, came to Emmiganur with her mother on the 04.07.2025. However, the girl went missing while going home in the evening after finishing work. In search of her mother, she reached Basaveshwara Circle of Adoni town. From there, the girl, who wanted to go to the bus stand and go to her native village, boarded an auto driven by a driver named Ramesh from Isvi village in Adoni mandal. By the time she went to the bus stand, it was night and she could not go to her village. He assured her that there would be no buses to go home and that she could stay at her sister’s house nearby that night. Believing it to be true, the girl went with him. However, Ramesh took her to a deserted venture on the outskirts of the city in the same auto and raped her forcibly. The victim cried out in fear, so he took her along with his friends to a private lodge in Adoni to leave her. However, when the organizers said that they would admit her to the lodge only with the permission of the police. The accused took the girl to the third police station to seek permission. There, the police questioned him and became suspicious of his behavior. When the girl was questioned, the incident of rape against her came to light. The police immediately arrested the accused. Based on the victim’s complaint, a case was registered against Ramesh under the rape and POCSO Acts. The girl’s parents were called and the girl was taken to the hospital.
