NOB-Khammam news: According to the police, the girl, who is studying in class 8, hails from a village in Konijar mandal. On 31.10.2025, when her parents went to Hyderabad, the girl went to a nearby prayer hall with her grandmother and grandfather. When she was leaving for home alone, one of the accused, a boy, stopped her on the way. “Your younger brother has fallen, he has been beaten, come immediately,” he said. Believing his words, the boy took the girl to the house of his friend, an 18-year-old youth. Another boy was already there. Later, the three of them sexually assaulted the girl. The girl, who escaped from them and reached home, did not tell anyone that night out of fear. When her parents returned from Hyderabad on 01.11.2025 morning, they were shocked when she explained the horrific incident to them. A complaint was immediately filed at the Konijarla police station. The police rushed to the spot on the complaint of the victim’s parents. A case was registered against a youth and two minors under the POCSO Act and an investigation was started. The police said that all three accused are currently absconding and they are searching for them.
