Sattenapalli Harishkumar alias Rishi alias Rishikumar, a resident of Indraprastha Colony in Vatlur, a suburb of Eluru, has been living in an apartment in Pragathi Nagar and Rayadurgam, Hyderabad, for some time. He introduced himself online to many people by claiming to be a chartered accountant and running his own online investment company. He convinced them that he had experience in trade business and that he would make them profitable if they invested. He was introduced to a trader named Panda Sai Kumar from Shanivarappet, Eluru. He collected up to Rs. 1 crore online by promising to give them gold biscuits. Realizing that he had been cheated, the victim approached the police in Eluru. After filing a complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station, the Cyber Crime Police of Cyberabad Commissionerate in Telangana registered a case against Harish Kumar and took up the investigation. In this process, more of his frauds came to light. In the past, Harish Kumar had cheated them by taking Rs. 50 lakhs from an aqua trader from Nallajarla in East Godavari district on several occasions. The victim pressured him and sold him a house in Indraprastha Colony, Eluru and registered it. But, instead of handing over the house, he kept his family there and created problems by creating documents with forged signatures. Similarly, he also extorted Rs. 2.50 crores from another businessman from Shanivarappet, Eluru. Similarly, he extorted Rs. 62 lakhs from a person named Shashank from Bangalore on the pretext of giving gold biscuits. The Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police, which registered a case on the complaint of the victim, recently arrested Harish Kumar and kept him in jail there. Renil Kumar, who was cheated of Rs. 1.85 crores by Harish Kumar in Hyderabad, also filed a complaint with the Basheerabad Cyber Crime Police and was arrested on a PT warrant on the 4th of May 2025 and shifted from Bengaluru to Chanchalguda Jail. Recently, the Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police has also registered a case and they are also ready to arrest on a PT warrant. Recently, another case has been registered in Hyderabad against the accused in a similar manner. Some other victims in Eluru are also approaching the police saying that they too have been cheated.
