According to the police, during the subsequent investigation, it was revealed that the mother of the two month old boy had agreed to sell him for two and a half lakh rupees to a man named Vishal from Pune, through three intermediaries. It is reported that Ramadevi and Manjula from Nizamabad, along with Vittal from Hyderabad, went with the mother, Lakshmi, to the outskirts of Hyderabad on the 9th of December 2025 to hand over the child to Vishal from Pune and received two and a half lakh rupees.
