Due to the heavy rains that have been falling since 27.08.2025 night, the road in that area has been eroded to a large extent due to the violent flow of the Andakur Alugu on the road. Due to the erosion of a large part of the road on one side, there has been severe disruption to traffic, and the Nirmal police have made several suggestions to motorists going from Adilabad to Hyderabad. Motorists going from Adilabad to Hyderabad via Kamareddy should take a U-turn to the left from the Kondapur bridge near Nirmal. From Kondapur, they will have to go to Hyderabad via Mamada Khanapur Met, Jagityala, Karimnagar, said Nirmal District SP Janaki Sharmila. If the rain continues like this, there are situations where transportation on the Kallur-Kuntala road route will be completely disrupted. Apart from this, there are situations where traffic on that route will come to a complete standstill, due to heavy rain, the Venkur Lowell Bridge will also flow violently and crops will be submerged. Soya, cotton, rice, crops have been submerged due to waterlogging. Farmers are worried as their crops have been damaged due to heavy rain.
