
NOB-Kamareddy news:Bhiknur police have arrested an inter district gang that was targeting houses that had been locked in villages under the pretext of collecting plastic bottles. On the orders of Kamareddy District SP M. Rajesh Chandra IPS, Bhiknur police under the supervision of ASP B. Chaitanya Reddy, IPS, two accused were arrested and remanded in an investigation. A case was registered and investigation was initiated against the theft of two pairs of silver patta chains and Rs. 10,000 in cash by breaking the doors of a house in Rameshwarapalli village on 06-03-2026 under Bhiknur police station limits. Also, another case was registered on 08-03-2026 in connection with the incident of breaking the lock of the Sri VenkateswaraSwamy Temple in Bhiknur village and stealing about Rs. 1,000 in cash from the hundi. While the police were investigating these two cases, a woman named Lambadi Sravani (21), who was roaming suspiciously near the BTS in Bhiknur area, was taken into custody and questioned. During interrogation, she confessed to committing the above two thefts along with her husband Srinivas. Sravani and her husband Srinivas, who hail from Sangareddy district, have turned theft into a profession. Their style is to go around collecting plastic bottles and notice which house is locked (recki), break the locks in seconds and rob. Last February, they sold 4 tolas of gold stolen from Mudimanik village to ParthamEliya, a scrap dealer from Narsapur, for Rs. 1.70 lakh and bought a Pulsar NS200 bike for luxuries. The gang, which had been running away from arrest by flaunting the stolen property, was finally caught by the police. It was said that the stolen silver ornaments were sold to ParthamEliya @ Praveen (26), a scrap dealer from Narsapur. With this, he was also arrested and made an accused in the case.
