NOB – Peddapalli news: On 25.05.2023 at Pedpadalli Agriculture Market and Kothapalli IKP Center for selling the hard earned paddy of the farmers to the IKP market yards, the 30 days old paddy is not being properly purchased and as per the government regulations, the rice weighs 42.43 kg per sack as per 40 kg 700 grams. When the grain goes to the mills, 2 to 5 kg is lost, so a farmer loses 7 to 10 kg per quintal. He alleged that the government and the local MLA were not paying attention to the problems of the farmers and were cheating on a high level. Also, as the farmers said that even after weighing their grain, truck sheets are not being given so far, they immediately called the local DSO and explained the problems of the farmers and told them to see that the truck sheets are given to the farmers as soon as the grain is weighed. Otherwise, they warned that they will stage a dharna under the leadership of the Congress party in front of the collector’s office along with the farmers. He said that the local MLA and the administration are colluding with the rice millers and looting crores.  Congress party leaders and farmers participated in the programme.
