Amid Shiva Name chanting, the doors of Kedarnath temple opened on 25.04.2023. The doors of the 12 hundred year old Kedarnath temple which is one of the char dhams was opened by the head priest Jagadguru Rawal Bimashankar Linga Sivacharya.Though it is snowing heavily on one side, thousands of devotees were waiting for the darshan of Shiva. Officials said that the pilgrims were stopped from proceeding due to heavy snowfall. Pilgrims have been asked to wait at Rishikesh, Gowrikund, Guptkashi,Son Prayag until the weather improves. Some devotees who have already reached Kedarnath witnessed the opening of the temple doors. Kedarnath temple was beautifully decorated with 35 quintals of flowers. “Om Namaha Shivaya.”
