NOB-Hyderabad news: Telugu film industry veteran actor Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away. He was 83 years old. There is nothing special to tell Telugu people about his greatness and acting. He gained recognition as an actor after playing any role. He was suffering from various health problems due to age. Family members said that he passed away in the early hours of the 13.07.2025 morning due to his health. He used to do plays while working in State Bank. Later, he got a chance in films. After the film Ahana Pellanta, he did not look back. At one stage for two to three decades, there was no Telugu film without Kota Srinivasa Rao. He also made his mark in politics. He joined the BJP and won as an MLA from Vijayawada for one time. Later, he stayed away from politics but did not join another party. Kota Srinivasa Rao’s son passed away in an accident on ORR. Industry sources say that he has been mentally disturbed since then. Kota Srinivasa Rao often expressed his dissatisfaction with issues like encouragement for foreign language actors and looking down on Telugu people. He wanted to give encouragement to Telugu actors only in the Telugu industry.
