NOB- Kothagudem news: Kothagudem Municipal Corporation’s latest former chairperson Kapu Seethalakshmi said that the officials should focus on sanitation in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Kothagudem Municipal Corporation. On 13.08.2025, he met Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sujatha and submitted a memorandum. He said that the sanitation officials should stop napping. He said that cows are roaming on the main road of Kothagudem sitting on the roads causing great trouble to motorists. He said that the stench is emanating due to poor maintenance of public toilets and that the sanitation officials are not concerned. He said that smoke and mosquito repellent should be sprayed to protect people from seasonal diseases. He asked that the work that was started after the funds were sanctioned in the past should be completed immediately. The engineering department officials should focus on the pending works and the respective contractors should complete the pending works. The plants that have grown in the middle of the divider should be removed, the sanitation workers should be provided with raincoats immediately, and the soaps and oils that are required for the sanitation workers should be provided immediately. They appealed on behalf of the city people to immediately catch monkeys and dogs and protect them from their menace.
