The Maoists suffered heavy losses in the exchange of fire between the security forces and the Maoists. Maoist Central Committee member Uday and Zonal Committee member Aruna were killed. Another Maoist was reportedly killed. The Maoists fled the encounter scene. Greyhounds forces are combing the Maredumilli forests after receiving information that some more Maoists are present. Meanwhile, there are rewards on Uday and Aruna. Meanwhile, the number of members of the Maoist Party Central Committee is gradually decreasing. There were 42 members when the party was formed 21 years ago. The number of members has decreased due to encounters and surrenders. Four people have died in encounters this year alone. It is noteworthy that 11 of the remaining 16 are Telugu. Intelligence sources are investigating the selection of the new general secretary.
Reduced number of members: Four Maoist central committee members have lost their lives so far this year, including Narasimhachalam alias Sudhakar, who died in an encounter in Bijapur 10 days ago. In 2004, when the then People’s War and Maoist Communist Center merged to form the Maoist Party, the central committee was formed with 42 members. AOB Secretary Gazerla Ravi alias Uday died in the AP Greyhounds encounter. Gazerla Ravi hails from Warangal, Bhupalli district. Another central committee member, Tentu Narasimhachalam alias Sudhakar (64) from AP, was killed in an encounter in Bijapur on 12.06.2025. Those from AP and Telangana are Mallojula Venugopal Rao alias Sonu, Tippiri Tirupati alias Devji, Kadari Satyanarayana Reddy alias Kosa, Malla Rajireddy alias Sangram, Muppalla Laxman Rao alias Ganapathi, Modem Balakrishna, Paka Hanmantu alias Uke Ganesh, Katta Ramachandra Reddy alias Rajudada, Gajarla Ravi alias Uday, Pasunuri Narahari alias Vishwanath, Potula Kalpana. Those from Jharkhand are Misir Besra alias Sunil, Anal Da alias Pathiram Manji, Sahadev alias Anuj. The Chhattisgarh natives are Majjidev alias Ramdhir and Madvi Hidma.
