NOB- Bharat news: BEML Limited, a prominent Indian public sector undertaking, has achieved another significant milestone by securing a massive metro rail order worth Rs.554 crore from an African nation.Under this agreement, every stage from the design and manufacturing to the testing and commissioning of the stainless steel metro trainsets will be executed entirely within India. This means that the Indian company bears full responsibility for the entire process, from production through to implementation. Notably, this marks the very first international metro project in the history of BEML Limited. Having previously played a pivotal role in the domestic railway and metro sectors, the company has now stepped onto the global stage, demonstrating its capabilities to the world. With this success, India’s standing in the global railway sector is further strengthened. In particular, this serves as a major boost to the “Make in India” initiative. It signals that India is winning the trust of nations worldwide through its indigenous technology and commitment to quality.
