Military transport aircraft manufacturing industry started in Vadodara, Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez launched this industry. This military cargo aircraft industry was established by Tata Sons in collaboration with Airbus. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that Ratan Tata would have been very happy to see this program and that Ratan Tata’s soul would be happy with the establishment of this industry. With this industry, Make in India and Make for the World activities will be strengthened. He said that the military transport aircraft manufactured here will be exported to foreign countries. Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that civil aircraft will also be manufactured in India in the future. He expressed happiness that the defense manufacturing system in India is reaching new heights. Modi said that this industry will strengthen India-Spain relations and India-Spain partnership is moving forward in a new direction. Tata Sons Chairman Chandrasekaran said that the first aircraft will be provided to the army in two years.
