MMLPs development for connectivity – India

The list of locations identified for development of Multi Modal Logistics Parks in the country is enclosed as Annexure –I.

 MMLP Jogighopa, Guwahati in Assam is under implementation.

 All other 30 MMLPs are at various stages of feasibility studies.

With development of Multi Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs), improved first and last mile connectivity, launching of E-log and Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), the logistic efficiency is expected to increase substantially.   

Two MMLP (Visakhapatnam & Vijayawada) are amongst 35 MMLPs approved for development. The detailed Feasibility Report / Pre-Feasibility Report are ongoing for Visakhapatnam / Vijayawada respectively. The capacity and investment would be known after the outcome of studies.    

Anantapur has emerged as prospective location for development of Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) based on the Pre-Feasibility studies.  Therefore to assess its potential capacity and investment required, the Detailed Project Study has been taken up. State has identified 206 acre of DKT land in Gondipalli village, Penukonda Mandal in Sathya Sai district.
