No waiting at RTO office to get driver’s licence – Central government new rules

Central government has made simple rules to get a driver’s licence, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced guidelines which are now in effect. People can get registered for driving licence in any reputed driver’s training institute. The applicants can get a certificate from the driving school only after the required training is completed along with the test passed.

Central government new rules which are effective are

  1. To have a driving school, a minimum 1 acre land with driving facilities should be there for issuing two wheelers, three wheelers and light motor vehicles while for having driving centres for medium to heavy passenger and cargo vehicles or trailers two acres land is needed by the driving school.
    1. Trainers should have atleast passed 12th grade diploma and should have 5 years of driving experience with solid understanding of traffic rules and regulations.
    1. A teaching curriculum is been designed by central government for operating light motor vehicles which will be a minimum of 4 weeks and 29 hours.
    1. The driving school will have two part curriculum of theory and driving.
    1. People must and should learn driving on basic roads, rural roads, highways, city roads, parking, and reversing, uphill and downhill driving for 21 hours.
    1. The theoretical part of course covers road etiquette, road rage, traffic education, understanding the cause of accidents, first aid and fuel efficiency during driving and this theory part will be for 8 hours.
