NOB- Delhi news: High tension prevailed in the national capital Delhi due to the India Alliance rally. The police stopped the India Alliance rally and arrested several MPs. The police detained opposition MPs including Rahul Gandhi, Kharge, and Akhilesh Yadav. The police stopped the opposition MPs who were going to the Election Commission office. They are being taken to the police station in special buses. Meanwhile the leaders of the Indi Alliance left for a rally on 11.08.2025, alleging irregularities in the Lok Sabha elections that votes were stolen. The police were alerted in view of the opposition partie’s march from Parliament to the Election Commission office. The police blocked Sansad Marg. The police said that the rally was not allowed. Meanwhile the Election Commission announced that only 30 people were allowed to meet them. The Indi Alliance MPs insisted that they would go together if they went. They also climbed barricades and jumped over them. They made them sit on the road. With this, the police stopped the rally of the India Alliance MPs and detained many of them. The opposition parties are expressing concern that there was vote rigging in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and want an answer to this. They are also expressing anger over the special revision of the voter list in Bihar. Rahul Gandhi brought to the attention of the EC that Form-6 is used only for new voters, but Form-6 is also being used repeatedly for elderly people who are not first-time voters. Rahul submitted details about the vote of a woman named Shakun Rani. Rahul alleged that the EC, knowing that many such vote rigging would come to light, is not providing them with digital data.
