
NOB-Hyderabad news: On 15-02-2026, upon receipt of a complaint from Sebastian, a case of servant theft was registered at Panjagutta Police Station regarding the theft of 1 kilogram (1000 grams) of gold biscuits from the Joyalukkas showroom located within the limits of Panjagutta Police Station. Treating the offence with utmost priority, special teams were immediately constituted. The investigation was carried out by analyzing CCTV footage, technical evidence, and intelligence inputs. Through sustained efforts and professional investigation, the accused was identified and apprehended within 24 hours of the report of the case. The entire stolen property, i.e., 1 kilogram (1000 grams) of gold, was successfully recovered from his possession. The following were seized from the possession of the accused:
1. Gold Biscuits 10 each weighing 100 Grams (total 1Kg) worth of Rs. 1,65,00,000.
2. Vivo Mobile,
3. Bajaj Platina Bike.
The case was detected under the supervision of ACP Panjagutta. The apprehension and recovery were affected by the team lead by Inspector M Ramakrishna, Detective Inspector S Nagaraju, Detective Sub-Inspector A Suresh, along with the staff of Panjagutta Police Station. Senior officers have appreciated the commendable and prompt work of the Panjagutta Police personnel in detecting the case swiftly and ensuring the protection of public property. Panjagutta Police reaffirm their commitment to maintaining public safety and law and order. Police advise all jewellery shop owners/managements to spruce up the security measures – cctvs in and out, approach roads, include some motion sensor cameras inside and in parking areas in cellar, security personnel to be vetted and ensure they carry out their duties diligently, have thorough checks of visitors and employees when they enter and exit, keep in place physical security measures like locks, shutters etc., and also keep a check on the activities of employees.
