DGP Shivdhar Reddy paid tributes to Police Constable Empalli Pramod Kumar, who was brutally murdered by hardened criminal Sheikh Riyaz, on behalf of the police department. Speaking to the media on 20.10.2025, the DGP made it clear that the Telangana Police Department is committed to fully maintaining law and order in Telangana. He revealed that any serious criminals will be severely suppressed. He assured his wife Praneetha, who lost her husband Pramod, and his three sons, who lost their father at a very young age, and their family that the government and the police department will fully support them. It was announced that an ex-gratia of Rs. 1 crore will be given as per G.O.R.T. No. 411. He said that the constable will be given a government job along with the last pay drawn salary until the retirement of the constable. According to G.O. 155, a 300-yard house plot will be sanctioned. The DGP also announced that an ex-gratia of Rs. 16 lakhs from the Police Security Welfare and an ex-gratia of Rs. 8 lakhs from the Police Welfare will be paid to Pramod’s family and their family will be supported. On behalf of the Telangana State Police Department, DGP Shivdhar Reddy paid tributes to those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
