NOB- Suryapet news: It is mandatory to obtain permissions from the authorities for the sale of fireworks (crackers) on the occasion of the festival of Diwali, District SP Narasimha IPS said in a statement. Crackers should be sold only in the places indicated by the authorities. Setting up shops in other areas without permission is prohibited. The SP said that these steps are being taken to prevent dangerous incidents keeping in mind the safety of the people. The SP said that special vigil has been set up on the manufacturers, suppliers and sellers of fireworks. He clarified that sales should not be carried out contrary to the rules. Strict action will be taken against them under the Explosives Act if firecracker shops are set up without permission.

Instructions for cracker sellers:

1. Prior permission should be obtained from the concerned authorities.

2. Sale should be done only in identified places.

3. Safety standards should be followed.

4. Arrangements should be made to ensure a queue system.

5. Do not sell at prices that exceed the limits.

6. Firecracker shops should be set up in vacant places.

7. No firecracker shops should be set up in crowded places.

8. Minimum distance should be maintained between shops.

9. Fire extinguishers should be kept ready.

10. Firecrackers should not be stored near power lines.

11. Minors (young children) should not participate in the sale.

The District SP urged all the people of the district to stay together and stay away from accidents and celebrate the festivals safely and peacefully.
