NOB-Sriharikota news: Another rare moment in the history of India’s defence sector has been revealed on 12.03.2024. Agni-5 missile launch was successful. This missile is fully indigenously developed. When it was sent into the air for the first time, it met the expectations and made DRDO scientists happy. This project was named Mission Divyastra. Agni-5 missile uses Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle- MIRV technology. A missile designed with MIRV technology once fired the warhead in it splits into multiple segments and destroys the target completely with high precision. Prime Minister Modi congratulated the DRDO scientists on the successful launch of the first experiment. Modi tweeted that he was proud of the Mission Divyastra undertaken by DRDO scientists.
