
NOB- Khammam news: Prevention of Rape of Minors Act cases, pronounced the verdict, finding the accused guilty and imposing a sentence of 25 years in prison and a fine of Rs. 20,000. He also said that the victim should be paid a compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs. Going into the details, the mother of the victim from Mote mandal died on 18/5/23, and everyone went there together. Since victim’s mother had two children, their guardian Lakshmaiah came to victim’s mother and said that he would take care of one of the two children and took the 6-year-old child. Later, he handed over the child to her. When the child fell ill after two days, he took her to the hospital and prescribed medicines. However, it did not improve, when victim’s mother asked what had happened, she told her mother what had happened, and victim’s mother filed a complaint at Mote police station on 29/5/23. On the complaint, Mote police registered a case and appeared in court. The then Circle Inspector P. Veera Raghavulu filed a criminal charge sheet against the suspect. The trial court examined 8 witnesses and found culprit guilty and gave the following verdict. Kaki Ram Reddy argued for the prosecution.
