NOB- Manipur news: The Union Home Ministry has issued a notification imposing President’s Rule in Manipur, the central government has taken a decision for President’s Rule based on the Governor’s report. Governor Ajay Kumar Balla has recommended President’s Rule under Article 356.The Center has imposed President’s Rule in the state. The Union Home Ministry issued a notification in this regard on 13.02.2025 evening. The notification stated that all powers will be brought under the purview of the Governor.It is known that Manipur CM Biren Singh resigned from the post of CM recently. Biren Singh resigned from his post on 09.02.2025 in BJP-ruled Manipur, which has been in turmoil for the last two years.The Governor has already issued orders cancelling the assembly sessions scheduled to begin on 17.02.2025. The BJP high command is unable to decide who to choose as the Chief Minister after Biren Singh. With this, the imposition of President’s rule at the Centre seems to be the only alternative.
