NOB- Viskhapatnam news: A fire broke out in a multi-storey building on Beach Road, under the limits of Maharanipeta Police Station, at 7:15 AM on 11.12.2025. ​​Upon receiving the information, Dr. Shankhabrata Bagchi, IPS, Commissioner of Police and Additional District Magistrate, immediately reached the spot and personally supervised the rescue operations. Due to timely action, no loss of life occurred. On this occasion, the CP instructed that fire safety and electrical safety audits be conducted in multi-storey buildings, that expired fire extinguishers be replaced immediately, and that residents be educated on their proper use.
