NOB-Karimnagar news: A petition with many issues was submitted to the District Education Officer Mondayya in Karimnagar district headquarters under the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU), demanding steps to be taken to control fees in private and corporate schools and to implement the Right to Education Act. Speaking on this occasion, PDSU Joint District Secretary Kuthati Rana Pratap said that the condition of government schools across the district is bad and the school-based program will continue as usual.He demanded that better facilities be provided in government schools immediately and programs be designed to increase the number of students. He demanded that schools that are being closed down on the pretext of lack of students be thoroughly examined and steps be taken to prevent them from being closed down. He expressed his concern that private corporate educational institutions have sprung up like mushrooms across the district, charging fees as per their whim, and are continuing the admission process like an invasion of villages, holding pamphlets, but the higher authorities are not responding. He urged the government to control the looting of fees and take action against corporate and private schools that do not have permits. He demanded that the zero fee racket be stopped in the name of tie belts and books in various ways and that steps be taken to relieve the parents of children from poor and middle class families from the burden of high fees.PDSU District Vice President Kamsarapu Ravi Teja, District Leaders Babu, MD Aslam, Rakesh, Ajay and others participated in this program.
