
NOB-Karimnagar news: District Collector Pamela Satpathi said that the roots of drugs that destroy the future of youth and students should be uprooted and the district should be made drug-free. On 18.112025, the District Level NARCO Coordination Committee held a meeting with officials from the Police, Excise, Medical Health, Child Welfare, Education and other departments at the Collectorate Conference Hall. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector suggested that awareness should be created in public places on the ill effects of drug use. She ordered that extensive inspections be carried out in coordination with the officers of the Police, Excise and other departments. She warned that strict action will be taken if narcotics and injections are sold in medical shops without a doctor’s prescription. Medical and Health Department officials ordered that inspections be carried out in medical shops. She said that widespread awareness should be maintained in schools through friendly programs in coordination with the officials of various departments. She said that the police should be involved in awareness programs. Karimnagar CP Ghaus Alam said that regular patrols are being conducted to eradicate narcotics. He explained that government and private hostels, RTC cargo, private parcel companies as well as godowns related to online companies are being inspected. He said that drug deduction kits and police dog services are being used. He revealed that extensive inspections are being carried out by imposing a lockdown. He warned that strict action will be taken if crimes like consumption and supply of narcotics are committed.
