
NOB-Tamilnadu news: The accused, who carried the dead body in a suitcase in a suburban train going from Nellore to Chennai Central, threw the suitcase on the platform of Minjoor station in Tamil Nadu. The murder came to light when the RPF personnel observed this and questioned the accused with suspicion. Aboard an electric suburban train from Nellore in AP to Chennai Central, the father and daughter threw the dead body in a suitcase on top of the Minjoor railway station platform. At around 8.30 pm on 04.11.2024, an RPF constable on duty on the platform stopped them when he noticed them dropping the suitcase before the train started. Upon suspiction constable Mahesh informed the railway police after blood was oozing from the suitcase that fell on the platform. The matter of murder came to light when the railway staff stopped them from running away. On opening the suitcase, a woman’s body was found in it. The accused have been identified as father and daughter.He said that she was killed in Chennai and the body was taken by train for cremation. During the investigation, the deceased was identified as Manyam Ramani. The accused told the police that there was a quarrel between Ramani when she tried to force her daughter into prostitution and in this process she was killed. However, during the police investigation, it was found that the accused killed Ramani for the sake of gold ornaments. An old woman living near the house of the accused in Chennai was called to her house on 04.11.2024 morning while she was going to buy vegetables and was murdered . After the murder, 50 grams of gold from the dead body of the woman was stolen and converted into gold bars.
On 04.11.2024 evening, an attempt was made to move the body in a suburban train and dump it at Minjoor station. It was found that the stories were woven to mislead the police. Accused Subrahmanyam’s hometown has been identified as Nellore. It seems that Minjoor station was chosen as it would be suitable for dumping the dead body. It is believed that Divyashree had planned the murder. The RPF constable acted vigilantly and the murder came to light.
