NOB-Srikakulam news: The police have successfully solved a series of theft cases that occurred in Nagirikatakam, Jalumuru, Savigaram, Allada, Srimukalingam, Kuna Lachumu Naidupeta, Budithi, Komarthi, Talasamudram and other villages under the jurisdiction of Jalumuru, Saravakota, Narasannapeta, and Polaki police stations in the Narasannapeta circle. Three accused have been arrested and the stolen property has been recovered, said Additional SP P. Srinivasa Rao.The details of the case were revealed by Additional SP P. Srinivasa Rao at a press conference held at the Narasannapeta Circle office on 23.01.2026.
Accused arrested:
A-1: Challa Achyuta Rao, S/o Late Satyanarayana, Age 35 years, Gangannapeta village, Andavaram Panchayat, Jalumuru Mandal.
A-2: Ponnana Yogeswara Rao, S/o Late Tavudu, Age 22 years, Makivalasa village, Jalumuru Mandal.
A-3: Allu Narendra Kumar, S/o Govinda Rao, Age 18 years, Makivalasa village, Jalumuru Mandal. Seized property (worth approximately Rs.35,00,000/-):
Gold: 31 tolas (approximately 373 grams), Silver: 800 grams,Home Theater: 01, DJ System Amplifier: 01, Mahindra Thar vehicle used in the crime (Number: PY 05 P 0017)

Details of case: A-1 Challa Achyuta Rao is the owner of SRK Suppliers, while A-2 and A-3 work for him. The investigation revealed that these individuals, addicted to vices, targeted locked houses in villages and committed thefts at night by breaking the locks using iron hooks used for tents. On 23.01.2026 morning, during a vehicle check at Komanapalli Junction in Jalumuru mandal, the police apprehended the accused who were traveling in a Mahindra Thar vehicle to sell the stolen gold. They seized the stolen property and the vehicle used in the crime from them.
This case was handled by the Tekkali Sub-Division Police Officer, D. Lakshmana Rao under the supervision of District Police SP K.V. Maheshwara Reddy IPS. SP specially commended the team comprising Narasannapeta Circle Inspector M. Srinivasa Rao, Jalumuru SI B. Ashok Babu, Polaki SI G. Ranjith, Saravakota SI B. Anil Kumar, and Narasannapeta SI Shekhar Rao, along with other staff members M. Dharmaraju, M. Venkatesh, T. Venkata Rao, M. Dharmarao, M. Nagaraju, and M. Dalinaidu, for their outstanding performance in effectively solving the case.
