In this sequence, some unidentified persons pelted stones on Ganapati Mandap in Syedpura area of ​​Surat. This suddenly created a tense situation. Local people protested the pelting of stones on Vinayaka Mandapam. The police post was surrounded. Immediately, a large number of police reached the spot and took Syedpura area under their control. Local MLA Kanti Balar reached the spot and assured that the accused will not be spared and the police will take legal action. When stones were pelted on Vinayaka mandap, local people came on the road and protested. As the agitation escalated, the police resorted to baton charge to bring the situation under control. At some places, tear gas was used and those who were disrupting peace and order were arrested.

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said six people have been identified in the incident of pelting stones on the Ganesh Mandap in Syedpura area of ​​Surat. The police have arrested these six people. Along with them, 27 other people have been detained. At present, the investigation of the case is going on. He said that police forces have been deployed in all parts of Surat and action will be taken against those who disrupt peace and order.
