They said that there will be a ban on bursting of firecrackers on any occasion like weddings, festivals, shop openings.Warnings have also been issued to those selling firecrackers. The police have made it clear that anyone caught bursting firecrackers will be sent to jail. The main reason for this ban is the tense situation in the country. According to Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, this decision was taken due to the prevailing warlike atmosphere in the country and the ongoing security measures in the city. There is a possibility of panic among the people as there is a risk of interpreting the sounds of firecrackers as explosions.This may disrupt peace and security. Moreover, the sounds of firecrackers put unnecessary pressure on the security forces. He said that in the wake of ongoing terrorist activities across the country, it will be difficult to respond to any emergency situation due to the bursting of fireworks.On the other hand, the police have tightened security across the city and deployed a large number of police forces in the most problematic areas.
