NOB-Hanumakonda news: Hanumakonda District Collector Sneha Shabarish said that the enrollment of students in government junior colleges should increase and appropriate steps should be taken for that. On 21.06.2025, a coordination meeting was held with the officials of the relevant departments at the mini conference hall of the Hanumakonda District Collectorate on the percentage of student enrollment in government junior colleges and various welfare Gurukul colleges, transportation facilities, and the provision of facilities to be set up in Gurukul colleges. On this occasion, the Collector inquired from the officials and principals about how many students have enrolled in government colleges, how many more will enroll, how many students are in which colleges, how many teaching staff are there, how many students were in Gurukuls in the last academic year, how many Gurukul hostels are near junior colleges, and whether the colleges have bus facilities. Speaking at the meeting, District Collector Sneha Shabarish said that there should be RTC bus facility for students studying in government junior colleges. He said that there will be an opportunity to increase seats in hostels near the colleges depending on the number of students. He ordered the District Intermediate Education Officer to submit a report to him within a week on the details of which colleges the students who studied in the tenth standard in government schools have joined. Speaking at the meeting, District Intermediate Officer Gopal said that there are 9 government junior colleges in the district. He said that 1867 admissions have been registered in junior colleges so far. He said that the enrollment percentage will increase further. SC Welfare DD Nirmala, Tribal Welfare DD Prema Kala, BC Welfare DD Laxman, RTC RM Dharam Singh, and principals of government junior colleges participated in the meeting.
