NOB-Suryapet news: SP Narasimha said that the Suryapet district police has taken the theft case of Sai Santoshi Jewellers in Suryapet town very seriously and has arrested four thieves so far. First, 14 tolas of gold were recovered from arrested accused A7 Yashoda, on the 11th, 554 (half a kilo) grams of gold worth about 55 lakhs and Rs. 87 thousand in cash were recovered from accused A4 Malik Molla, arrested in West Bengal, Rs. 5 thousand in cash from Amar Bhat, arrested in Khammam, and now on the 26th of August 2025, 25 tolas of gold worth 25 lakhs and Rs. 4.85 lakh in cash were recovered from accused A5 Jashimuddin, arrested in West Bengal. We have taken this case very seriously and investigated it, making good use of technical evidence and resources, and have kept special forces on the border with Nepal in Delhi, Goa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal and have moved forward in this case so far. Under the supervision of senior officers, special teams under the leadership of Town CI Venkataiah and CCS Inspector Shiva Kumar have worked hard in an area where we have no cooperation and are unknown. SP Narasimha IPS said that we will continue the same investigation and arrest the rest of the accused in this case. On July 21st 2025, a gold shop was robbed in Suryapet town. On the complaint of the shop owner that 2.5 kg of gold and money were stolen, a theft case was registered at Suryapet 2nd Town Police Station under crime number 266/2025 and special police teams were formed and investigated. As part of this, on July 27th 2025, a 30 year old woman named A7 Yashoda, a resident of Khammam, was arrested in Suryapet town and 14 tolas of gold was seized. According to Yashoda’s confession, a total of 7 accused were identified as involved in the crime. A1 Prakash Anil Kumar, along with A6 accused Amar Bhatt, who is from Nepal, were identified as thieves from West Bengal and were investigated by police teams under the leadership of Suryapet Sub-Division DSP. As part of this, as per the permission of the higher authorities, police special teams investigated and searched for the thieves in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and the Nepal border. The police conducted a meticulous investigation with forensic evidence and established information sources in other states and arrested A4 Malik Molla, the accused in this case, on the 11th of August 2025 in West Bengal and seized 554 grams of gold and Rs. 87 thousand in cash and sent him to remand. Similarly, on the 16th August 2025, A6 accused Amar Bhatt was arrested in Khammam town and seized Rs. 5 in cash and sent him to remand. As part of the further investigation of this case, the police team once again conducted a clever investigation and a special police team led by Suryapet Town Inspector Venkataiah and CCS Inspector Shiva Kumar went to West Bengal and with technical evidence and reliable information, another accused, A-5 Jashimuddin, aged 33, of Malda district, West Bengal, was arrested on 26-08-2025 at Nandhu village, Okara Chand-Para mandal, Ratwa police station area, Malda district. Gold ornaments worth Rs. 25 lakhs and Rs. 4,84,500/- in cash were seized from A-5 Jashimuddin. He was produced before the judge in the West Bengal Chachal court and permission was obtained for 7 days police custody and was brought to Suryapet on 29.08.2025 as per the conditions of the transfer (transit) of the accused states. When questioned, he confessed that he had robbed a shop in Suryapet district headquarters along with A1 Prakash Anil Kumar of Nepal, A2 Kadak Singh Ahul Walia of Nepal, A3 Puran Prasad Joshi of Nepal, and A4 Malik Molla of Malda district of West Bengal and had stolen gold and cash by breaking into the bathroom wall of Sai Santoshi Jewelry Shop on M.G. Road behind the gas cutter. Later, he went to a rented house and divided the stolen property into 5 parts, gave some gold and money to A-7 Yashoda Mahila and A-6 Amar Bhat for expenses and left from there. He also said that A-6 Amar Bhat kept the gold that came to him with A-1 Prakash Anil Kumar and planned to take it to Nepal. A-5 Jashimuddin was produced in court on 29.08.2025 and remanded in custody as per his confession. Police are on the lookout for further suspects.
