NOB-Suryapet news: District SP Narasimha IPS disclosed the details of the case at a media conference held at the Suryapet District Police Office. There are clear instructions from the government to eradicate drugs from society. Everyone should work against the drug-producing community, for this, the district police department is working hard. We are providing counseling to all those involved in cases like transportation, use and sale of ganja. The SP urged the youth to be vigilant and to provide information to the police if anyone tries to make them a habit.
Case Details: Crime No:222 /2025 U/S 8 (c) r/w 20 (b)(ii) (B), 29 NDPS Act-1985 Suryapet Town Police Station.On 03.07.2025 at 04:30 hrs, on reliable information that six persons were with ganja at Nallacheru Gutta in Suryapet town, a team of District CCS Police and Suryapet Town CI Venkatayya along with their staff went to Nallacheru Gutta. There (6) persons were sitting with ganja at Nallacheru Gutta on a scooter. The S.I along with his staff made a proper arrest and conducted an investigation. They gave their names as 1. Pittala Nagaraju 2. Angothu Vamsi, 3. Reddy Palli Madhusudhan, 4. Akash, 5. Sura Shravan Kumar and 6. Gundarapu Shiva. Pittala Nagaraju and Vamsi used to buy ganja from unknown persons in Araku area near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh state and sell it in small packets of five to ten grams each for Rs. 500 to earn money. Four other people associated with them are absconding and police teams are working to arrest them. All the accused, having each paid Rs. 3000/- each, with a total of Rs. 30,000/-, on 30-06-2025. Nagaraju, Vamsi, went from Suryapet to Khammam by bus, from Khammam by train to Visakhapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh, went to Araku area near Visakhapatnam, bought 12 kg of ganja at the rate of Rs. 2000/- per kg, bought 12 kg of ganja at the rate of Rs. 24,000/- from an unknown person, took it, came to Suryapet in the morning on 03.07.2025, and hid it in Nagaraju’s house in Suryapet town where no one could see it. Nagaraju went to Nallacheruvu Gutta to distribute the ganj. On 03.07.2025 at 04:30 PM, before Nagaraju brought the ganja bought from Araku to Nallacheruvu Gutta, Angothu Vamsi took his TVS Ntorq Scooty and took the ganja from Nagaraju’s house on a bike and came to Nallacheruvu Gutta. When Vamsi said that he had work to do, Nagaraju did not take his share, Vishwanadula Sai Kumar said that he had work to do, Angothu Vamsi said that he had work to do, Dosapati Vamsi said that he had work to do, Reddypalli Madhusudhan said that he had work to do, Saragandla Shiva Karthik said that Akash did not take his share. They met on the dark Nallachervu hill and took out the ganja from the bag to share it. At the same time, the police went to the place and arrested the six along with the ganja. In this meeting, the SP was accompanied by Suryapet Division DSP Prasanna Kumar, CCS Inspector Shiva Kumar, Suryapet Town Inspector Venkataiah, SIs Edukondalu, Mahendra Nath, Harikrishna, CCS staff, and town police station staff. The SP congratulated CCS Inspector Shiva Kumar, SI Harikrishna, CCS staff Head Constables Srinivas, Constables Anand, Mallesh, Satish, Shiva Krishna, Prabhakar, Women Home Guard Manjula, Special Branch Constable Ramesh, Suryapet Town CI A. Venkataiah, SIs M. Edukondalu, I. Mahendranath, their staff, Naveen, Ravi Kiran, Ravi, Ishwar Singh, Suresh, Writer Veeraiah, Lakshminarayana, and Bazaar for their role in arresting the accused in seizing this ganja.
