
NOB-Karimnagar news: Karimnagar Police Commissioner Ghaus Alam said that tight security measures have been taken to ensure a peaceful and safe Ganesh immersion in the Karimnagar Police Commissionerate. He said that around 867 police officers, staff, NCC cadets and volunteers have been deployed for the Ganesh procession and immersion. Two additional DCPs, five ACPs, 20 inspectors, 40 SIs, 350 constables, head constables, ASIs, 100 home guards, 150 NCC cadets and 200 volunteers are participating in this arrangement. Police Commissioner Ghaus Alam made several suggestions in a briefing held for police officers at the Astra Convention Hall. He ordered the personnel assigned to the duties to remain alert until the immersion is completed. Along with tight security, rooftop security has also been set up in sensitive areas of the city. In addition to the 750 cameras already installed by the municipal department for surveillance, the police department has installed an additional 100 CCTV cameras. The footage from these cameras is being continuously monitored from the command control center. To deal with emergencies, the fire department is ready with swimmers, life jackets, life buoys and mobile bikes in the immersion areas. Medical officers have set up health camps and made ambulances available. The CP said that the electricity department staff will also be available on the way to ensure that there is no disruption in the power supply. The CP suggested that officers from all departments (electricity, medical, fire, municipal) should work in coordination. He also asked for additional crane drivers and peace and welfare committee members to be made available wherever needed. Police Commissioner Ghaus Alam hoped that everyone would work hard to ensure that the immersion program ends peacefully, without any untoward incidents.
