
NOB-Mahabubabad news: As per the directions of the Telangana State Education Department, the District Education Department and Alinco jointly organized a program to distribute free devices to the differently abled students at the District Collectorate office on 18.03.2025. The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment operates under the administrative control of the Department of Empowerment of the Disabled. Alinco Company is engaged in manufacturing rehabilitation aids for the differently abled and aims to benefit the differently abled as much as possible by promoting, encouraging and developing the availability, use, supply and distribution of artificial limbs and other rehabilitation aids to the differently abled in the country. In Mahabubabad District, Alinco organized a screening camp for assistive devices for children with special needs. It was held on 24.08.2024. A total of 115 CwSN children attended, out of which 94 CwSN students were selected for various types of free equipment. A total of 202 equipment was provided to 94 CwSN children from different mandals who were selected. Addressing this program, District Additional Collector Lenin Vatsal Topso asked parents to be aware so that the disabled can fully utilize all the facilities provided by the State & Central Governments. He spoke to the disabled children and their parents while examining the equipment distributed to the disabled students and instilled confidence in them. He asked the IERPs and special education teachers to work with a service attitude & dedication towards the disabled students. He congratulated the IERPs and special educators who are providing educational services to the disabled. District Education Officer Ravinder Reddy said that it is suggested to use these free tools properly and contribute to the development of students. He wished that all Divyang students should use special education services and reach higher heights in the future. He asked parents to take advantage of the home-based education and physiotherapy camps provided by IRPs. District Literacy Coordinator Azad Chandrasekhar said that the tools distributed on 18.03.2025 are valuable and IRPs should take responsibility by explaining to parents how to use the tools. He also informed that escort allowance, transport allowance, girl’s stipend and reader allowance will also be provided by sending a Divyang student to a government school. He asked Divyang students to use their educational services through Bhavita Kendras. ED Rajeswara Rao, DSO Appa Rao, ALINCO in-charge Suresha, Mohit, special education teachers, IERPs, and parents of differently-abled students participated in this program.
