NOB- Assam news: In Assam’s Borbarua area, a wife along with her daughter and two other youths brutally murdered her husband. To hide their crime, the wife, Bobby Sonowal Gogoi, tried to fabricate a story that her husband died of a heart attack. The incident took place on July 25th 2025 in Lahon Gaon area of Jamira in Dibrugarh district. The victim, Uttam Gogoi, was found dead in his house. Initially, his wife and daughter told the police that he died of a heart attack. But when Uttam’s brother saw injuries on his ear, he became suspicious and filed a complaint with the police. Bobby, who had said that he died of a stroke until then, tried to fabricate another story that there was a robbery at the house. When the police started the investigation, it was revealed that four people had planned to murder Uttam together. The arrested accused included Bobby, her 9th grade daughter, and two youths who were close to her. Dibrugarh SSP Rakesh Reddy revealed this to the media. Locals also staged a protest in front of the police station demanding strict action against the accused. This case is creating a sensation locally.
