NOB- Bapatla news: District SP Vakul Jindal IPS said that they are investigating the case of rape and murder of a woman as a challenge. On June 21st 2024 morning, the district SP personally inspected the dead body of the deceased woman at the spot near the railway track at Sitarampuram in Eepurupalem village within the Chirala Rural Police Station of Bapatla district. After speaking to the witnesses, they learned about the nature of the crime and made several suggestions to the police officers regarding the investigation of the case. On this occasion, SP said that a 21-year-old unmarried woman residing in Eepurupalem village Sitarampuram under Chirala Rural Police Station of Bapatla district had gone outside at about 5:30 to 5:45 a.m. on 21.06.2024 and did not return. Complaint has been made. He said that a case has been registered as rape and then murder. He said that a thorough inspection of the crime scene has been done and with the help of the clues team, the woman’s sandals, the water bottle she had taken to go outside, and the clothes of the deceased were seized. Taking this case as a challenge, they are investigating it from all angles. He said that the case is being investigated with 5 special police teams, the suspects will be interrogated and the accused will be arrested and remanded soon.
