NOB- Visakhapatnam news: The Women’s Police Station was previously available to women in the city near the Police Commissionerate and Police Welfare Hall for resolving women’s problems. Due to this, women from Pendurthi, Gopalapatnam, Gajuwaka, Malkapuram, One Town Maddilapalem, MVP Colony, etc., used to come there and tell their grievances. The police used to try to resolve their problems. However, when the previous government set it up in outskirts of city, Endada, it became a hassle for women in the city to go there to resolve their problems as it was a long distance. Sometimes, the aggrieved women have to stay at the station till 9:00 pm, and when the women return home, they have to face various troubles in buses or autos, and also have to face harassment from hooligans. Keeping this in mind, we request the CP to set up a women’s police station next to the Police Welfare Mandapam in the city as usual.Without prejudice, with respect, Sriramurthy (Senior BJP Leader).
