
NOB_Kamareddy: Blood donors are life savers and everyone must follow traffic rules, said DSP Madhusudan and CI Narahari.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday, a mega blood donation camp and traffic awareness seminar was organized at Karshak B.Ed College in Kamareddy district headquarters.
The camp was jointly organized by Kamareddy Blood Donors Group and International Vysya Federation (IVF).
As chief guests, DSP Madhusudan and CI Narahari participated and distributed helmets and appreciation certificates to 96 blood donors. They said that giving helmets to blood donors is highly appreciable.
Speaking on the occasion, IVF Sevadal State Chairman and Founder of Kamareddy Blood Donors Group, Dr. Balu said that the organization which started with just 35 members in 2007 has today grown into the largest blood donor service group in the state with over 3500 members. He said that in 19 years, they have collected 30,000 units of blood and have achieved India Book of Records and World Book of Records for collecting blood for thalassemia-affected children. He added that with the support of donors, they have distributed 4000 helmets across the state so far.
A total of 96 donors donated blood in this camp.
The program was attended by Dr. Veda Prakash, Jameel Ahmed, Parsha Venkataramana, Erram Chandrasekhar, Jaligama Srikanth, Karshak B.Ed College Principal Dr. S.K. Rasheed, RK Educational Institutions CEO Jaipal Reddy, Telangana Pharma Council members Chiluveri Maruthi, Donthi Sudhakar, Ranga Kishan and other donors.
