NOB_Chevella:In a major trap, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Rangareddy Range, caught two officers of the Chevella Divisional Sub-Treasury Office along with a private person while accepting a bribe of Rs.1 Lakh.

Accused:
AO-1 – Sri Madiga Laxmaiah, Sub-Treasury Officer, Chevella
AO-2 – Smt. Kavali Anuradha, Assistant Treasury Officer, Chevella
A-3 – Vadde Jangaiah @ Chinna, Private Person

What Happened:
The officers demanded Rs.2,50,000/- from a complainant for processing his suspension period salary bills of Rs.23,25,390/- and post-retirement pension arrears of Rs.4,29,000/-.

On 17.09.2026, ACB laid a trap and caught them red-handed while accepting Rs.1,00,000/- as part payment. AO-1 took Rs.50,000/- and the private person A-3 took Rs.50,000/- on the instructions of AO-2.

The tainted amount was recovered from AO-1 and A-3. All three are being produced before the Hon’ble Principal Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Nampally.

The case is under investigation.
