NOB_Bhadradri Kothagudem: Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has demanded that police deal strictly with the accused and ensure severe punishment in the brutal murder case of nursing student Harini.

Harini, a native of Vengannapalem village in Julurpadu mandal, was pursuing nursing in Khammam. She was brutally murdered a day after visiting her relatives’ house at Lotuvagu in Lakshmidevipalli mandal.

On receiving information, Minister Tummala rushed to Kothagudem Government Hospital, inspected the body, and consoled the inconsolable family members.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said it is extremely painful that a young student with a bright future was murdered so brutally. He said police should maintain strict vigil to prevent recurrence of such incidents where women’s safety is at stake.

He assured that the government will stand by the victim’s family in all aspects.

He also spoke to District SP Birudu Rohit Raju over the phone and instructed him to take stringent action against the accused.

Women’s associations, leaders of various parties, and media persons were present.
