NOB_BHADRADRI KOTHAGUDEM: BJP leader Thamballa Ravi has alleged that the bridge collapse near Mulakalapalli in Bhadradri Kothagudem district was due to severe negligence of the state government and lack of supervision by officials.

Ravi inspected the accident site along with BJP Mandal President Shankar Naik and later spoke to media persons.

He questioned, “Does the local MLA not have love for Aswaraopet constituency as much as he has for Hyderabad? Is it not the government’s responsibility to identify old, dilapidated bridges that have been damaged for years and reconstruct them?”

He said that with the sudden collapse of the bridge on the main road near Mulakalapalli, traffic has come to a standstill and people and motorists are facing severe hardships. The government should take full responsibility for the incident.

He demanded that temporary arrangements for traffic be made immediately at the collapsed bridge site and that construction of a new bridge be started on a war footing.

Mandal President Shankar Naik, Poonam Naveen, Gudla Raju, Satyanarayana, Guda Mutyala Rao, Puchi Prasad and others participated in the program.
